Welcome to Level 1A with ASL Pinnacle! This 8-week course is designed for absolute beginners and those with limited prior experience, providing a strong, confident foundation in ASL through a voice-off, immersive approach.
You’ll learn core grammar, the manual alphabet, numbers, sign parameters, and essential vocabulary including colors, family and relationships (with LGBTQ+ terminology), living arrangements, transportation, school experience, and more.
Classes meet live online over 8 weeks. Each week includes a live session, pre-recorded lectures and practice video assignments.
At the end of the course, you’ll complete a Comprehension Assessment. A score above 70% qualifies you to advance to Level 1B.
