Welcome to Level 4 with ASL Pinnacle! This course is designed for upper intermediate students who have completed Levels 1A, 1B, 2, and 3, or equivalent coursework. The class is conducted entirely in a voice-off, immersive environment and emphasizes the accurate and flexible use of ASL grammar and structure in extended conversations and discussions.
Course content centers on real-world, adult topics such as home layouts, household items and furniture, housework and repairs, finances, and major purchases. Students will focus on organizing information clearly, using classifiers effectively, and expressing more detailed and nuanced ideas.
By the end of the course, students will demonstrate increased fluency, a broader working vocabulary, and the ability to participate confidently in complex ASL conversations with improved comprehension and precision.
Classes meet live online over 8 weeks. Each week includes a live session, pre-recorded lectures and practice video assignments.
At the end of the course, you’ll complete a Comprehension Assessment. A score above 70% qualifies you to advance to Level 5.
