Rosie – I wish! There is a monthly dinner for Deaf folks/people who sign, but unfortunately it is often held at restaurants that I can’t eat at due to my food allergies. I’ve gone a few times when they have switched to more accessible restaurants and enjoyed that! There is also, oddly enough, a Deaf puppet troupe that I’ve gone to see twice now. The puppeteers use shadow puppets that sign, and there are always interpreters too! It’s a really unique event and I’ve loved going. I think because I live close-ish to DC the majority of Deaf folks go to events there!
